Yesterdays (vintage song, obscure recording, free download)

Having just moved I'm discovering in my boxes some old recordings, this one a recording of the oldest song of mine (and a friend) that I still perform, with the lyric by my old friend Doris Reed King (written in the back row of English class at Owen High School in 1978) and the music written by me on the piano in the chapel at Warren Wilson College the same year (yes, I'm that old). It features also Julie Loyd on backing vocal and James Richards on backing vocal and guitar, from a compilation album entitled Live at Karmasonics, Vol. 1. One of the coolest things about this recording is that there are several children in the audience at Karmasonics, including my own. And you can hear their joyful noises here and there.

You can also download all three of Dave's complete albums free.

All the best,
