On Saturday, I'll be moving with my family just a few miles from West Asheville to Weaverville, North Carolina. Most of our stuff is packed but the piano's still out along with my computer and recording software. The house in West Asheville that has been home for four years has also been the birthplace of many songs, a number of which are on my last album. It's been a good place and there was one more song left in it. It is dark like many of my songs but has a tinge of hope in it, too. For now the title is "Better Day" and I made a rough recording of it this morning (instead of packing, but I've learned the hard way that new songs don't wait - they'll abandon you in a hurry). So I'm excited about the new house and the new song. Looking forward to hailing from Weaverville.
